2000 Smith Creek F5 Mandolin

(Serial No. 019) Dave Smith builds a professional level mandolins - just ask Rhonda Vincent, who played a Smith Creek for years. This one has a dark sunburst lacquer finish, highly figured maple back and sides, Adirondack red spruce top, flat ebony fretboard with a 1 1/8 inch nut, gold Schaller tuners, and a pearl logo and peghead inlay. The ebony Parisian eye endpin is a nice detail. The frets were dressed, a new Cumberland Acoustic bridge was fitted, and the mandolin was just set up by luthier Jerry Ray. Plays easy and has excellent volume and tone with nice cut and drive for your bluegrass band. Comes with a nice hardshell case.
