2002 Stanley Bragg F5 Mandolin
(Serial No. 11_12_02) Excellent structural condition. Stanley Bragg builds in Hinton, WV. His mandolins are a little rough cosmetically but play and sound amazing. I got this from a well respected picker in Florida who is past the name on the headstock and just cares about the sound and playability. Has highly flamed maple back and sides and a carved spruce top. The finish is distressed so the mandolin looks much older than it is. Flat ebony fretboard scooped to eliminate pick click, 1 1/8 inch nut, ebony bridge, chrome Schaller tuners with pearl buttons. Has an ancient hairline heel crack repair. Excellent sounding instrument with a deeep woof on the bottom and clear trebles on the top. Shows some typical playing and handling. The frets were dressed, a new Cumberland Acoustic bridge was fitted, and the mandolin was set up by luthier Jerry Ray and is ready to go. It needs nothing but your fingers on the strings! Comes with a hardshell case.
