(Serial No. 022) Near mint condition. James Burkett of Dothan Alabama has been repairing ans rebuilding old Gibsons for years. When he put his considerable talents to building new guitars the results were outstanding. This is a close copy of a late 1930s Gibson J35 with the 2 scalloped tone bar bracing, a bear claw Sitka spruce top, and a highly figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides sourced from John Arnold. Has the firestripe pickguard and gold open back Gotoh tuners with butterbean tuners. Nut is 1 11/16 inch, neck profile is similar to a 1930s J35. The guitar has a custom peghead inlay and has the Burkett label inside. The heel cap and all body and neck binding is Koa wood. Very big sounding guitar with the drive of an exceptional Sitka top backed by Brazilian rosewood. Just set up by my luthier. Here is a short video clip of this guitar. This is a powerhouse of a dreadnaught. Comes with a Breedlove hard case.
