(Serial No. 009) Excellent near mint condition. John Hamlett (know as Sunburst on the Mandolin Cafe) has long been known in the Charlotteville VA area as a builder of fine mandolins. He put all of his skill into this one, and it shows. The instrment is has lacquer finish in a beautiful blonde with dark tortoise binding, and has a flamed maple back and sides, a red spruce Adirondack top, pearl logo, and an ebony bridge. The the flat ebony fretboard has an 1 1/8 inch nut and is shortend to eliminate pick click. It also has a custom made one piece Hamlett tailpiece.
