2008 Bryan England F5 Mandolin
(Serial Number 57L) Handmade in Caneyville, Ky by Brian England and Larry Shepperd, who run the shop Custom Inlay. This is the Rosine model, which has a maple back and sides and a cedar top, which gives it a warm sound to the chop. Its also has slightly larger body than a standard F5, which gived the mandolin a bit more power and woof on the bottom end. Has figured maple back and sides, abbreviated ebony fretboard to stop pick click, pearl logo and custom fretboard position markers, and an ebony bridge. The flat ebony fretboard and top are bound in tortoise and the mandolin has a tortoise truss rod cover and strap pin. Lacquer finish which has been worn off from playing on the back of the neck. Has an 1 1/8 inch nut and nickle hardware. The mandolin has just been set up and has a nice low action with good power and chop for bluegrass. Comes with a hardshell case.
