2011 Bourgeois 00 Country Boy Guitar
(Serial No. 005558) Mint unplayed condition. If you just can't settle on one playing style and need a guitar to be as versatile as you are - this is the guitar for you! The 00 is appointed much like the Country Boy, with a premium Adirondack red spruce top with nice silking, advanced high X scalloped braces and mahogany back and sides. The neck is a modified V shape with a traditional diamond shaped volute on the back of peghead underneath the nut, 1-23/32 inch nut width, 25 inch scale length, and 2-3/8 inch spacing at the bridge. Has a beautiful figured Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, ebony fretboard with old style small dot pearl inlays, and nickel Waverly tuners with 30s style oval metal buttons. Built with hide glue like the guitars of the 30's. Has a open, airy, and crisp dynamic tone, with a mellow bottom end and crisp trebles, but still lots of projection and power. Adirondack Spruce tops have the highest volume ceiling of any topwood, yet they also have a rich fullness of tone that retains clarity at all levels. The stiffness of the red spruce makes for a lightning-quick response. Its a real pleasure to play, too. Good clarity and sustain, perfect for blues to bluegrass. Superb craftsmanship. Nice low action, neck is straight and the frets are fine. Just set up by my local luthier Jerry Ray. The guitar looks new, showing no playing wear and no repairs. Comes with the very nice original hardshell case
