New Ratliff DM Mandolin
(Serial No. 1029) New with warranty, natural top with dark red brown back and sides. Looking for a mandolin for rock band? This is a decidedly unconventional mandolin from a well-respected traditional maker. Audey only build about 18 mandolins a year. Getting a new one to sell it tough - every dealer out there wants one, as they are excellent mandolins. Build quality is top notch, as good as it gets. Two horn body shape like a classic electric guitar, carved solid spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, long 21 fret maple neck with deep body cutaways for upper fret access, 1 1/18 inch nut, radiused ebony fretboard with a slightly shortened unfretted treble extension to eliminate pick click in the sweet spot, ebony adjustable bridge, pearl logo, and nickle Grover tuners. Fitted with a Fishman bridge with built in pickup and a side jack. Good mandolin sound and it plays nicely. Not a deep bluegrass chop but you are not playing bluegrass on this, are you? Works well for a band or studio where you plug in and it certainly has the wow factor when you take it out of the case go up on stage. Mint unplayed condition - anything that looks like a blemish or scratch is a reflection. Comes with a lifetime warrenty to the original owner. Gig bag included.
