2012 Collings MF5 Mandolin
(Serial No. 1307) Excellent condition, sunburst lacquer finish, built in Austin,Texas. Collings mandolins are built to the same high quality standards as their guitars. Plays nice with good low action and sounds pretty good, too. This mandolin has a big, rich voice with great projection and a powerful chop - everything you'd expect from a Collings. Nice clean mandolin with an Adirondack spruce top and heavily flamed maple back and sides. Has a 1 1/8 inch nut and jumbo frets on the radiused ebony fretboard, which is shortened by Collings to eliminate pick click. The neck is soft V profile.
