(Serial No. X8616 28) Excellent minus condition with a sunburst finish. These were used by Tiny Moore and Johnny Gimble on their classic recordings. This is a nice A style with F-shaped sound holes with a carved spruce top, maple back and sides, and the original hot P-90 pickup mounted in the top and a jack in the lower side. Fretboard is flush with the top. Classic "Gibson" decal logo above the truss rod cover on the peghead. Top bound only. All hardware and finish is original. Has a repaired area near the side jack - I suspect someone pulled the cord out on stage, otherwise no repairs noted. Neck is straight and it was just set up. It plays fine with a nice low action and has the classic Gibson post war sound. This model has a good bluegrass and country pedigree. Comes with the original Gibson hard shell case.
