1976 Martin D28 Guitar

(Serial No. 384388) Excellent condition. all original, a '70s guitar that we used to diss has now matured into a great sounding guitar, proof to the gift of wood aging and improving in tone after almost 50 years. This is the classic Martin D-28 - solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, and ebony fretboard and bridge. Nut is 1 11_16 inch. Has the slightly chunky neck profile of the 60s and 70s Martins. Neck is straight, frets are good. The action is nice and low as the neck was just reset by luthier Jack Dillen and the frets were dressed. Bridge is untouched and the saddle is nice and tall. No repairs noted. The guitar was apparently strung up lefty for a while, as it shows some strum marks on the top on the side opposite the pickguard. Has that solid Martin "boom" you need in a good bluegrass guitar. This is a excellent sounding nicely aged D-28. Comes with the original blue molded Martin hardshell case.
