1986 Flatiron 1N Mandolin

(Serial #86123452) Excellent condition showing some finish checking. Early Flatiron round "pancake" style mandolin with a round sound hole and a flat top and back. Its a copy of the Gibson "Army-Navy" style mandolins sold in the Px in WW1. Solid spruce top with solid maple wood back and sides. All original finish and hardware. Has open back Grover tuners with white buttons. Unbound. No structural issues of any kind, frets are good, neck is straight. These instruments are excellent for Celtic and old time sessions because they are LOUD! Just set up by my local luthier Marty Beeson so it plays great. Has a much bigger sound than you expect. Comes with the original hard case.
