1922 Gibson A2 Mandolin

(Serial No. 70654) Near mint condition. Out of my personal collection. I love the 1922 Gibsons - they have the truss rod in the neck like the snakeheads but the slightly wider fretboard of the paddle pegheads. This is probably the cleanest 1920s Gibson I have had. Sheraton brown top finish, dark brown back and sides, bound top, back and fingerboard, pearl logo, ebony fretboard and bridge, adjustable truss rod. Excellent tone and volume, plays nicely as it was set up by my luthier. No repairs and none needed, neck is straight, frets are perfect, all original finish and hardware. Almost none of the usual nicks and dings of a mandolin used to make music for almost 100 years. Big open woody round hole sound. Comes with the original hardshell case.
