1934 Martin 017 Guitar

(Serial No. 55127) Excellent condition showing some minor playing wear and a small top crack. These small body Martins are great for blues. This has a mahogany back, sides, and top, and ebony bridge and fretboard. This is the later version of the 017 with the 14 fret body and a solid peghead, but it still has the V-shaped mahogany neck with ebony rod, scalloped bracing, and the larger neck of the 1930s guitars with a 24.9 inch scale and a 1 3/4 inch nut. No decal on the peghead as built, but it does have the Martin stamp on the back of the the peghead and inside the guitar. Also has the original bar frets, pickguard and and the ebony nut. All original finish. There is a small 2 inch top crack at the lower edge of the treble side on the top, but it has been professionally repaired and should pose no issues in the future. The tuners are original Grover G-93s with the oval nickle buttons. Plays like butter and has a huge sound all out of proportion to the small size. Comes in a newer hardshell case.
