1937 Gibson EM-150 Mandolin

(Serial No. 200 C 18) Near mint condition with a sunburst finish. Second year of production. EmM-150 mandolins were used by Tiny Moore and Johnny Gimble on their classic recordings. This is a nice A style with F-shaped sound holes with a carved spruce top, flamed maple one piece back and sides, the original hot Charlie Christian pickup mounted in the top, and a jack in the lower side. Fretboard is flush with the top. Classic 30s silkscreened "Gibson" logo on the peghead. Fully bound. All hardware and finish is original. Mandolin has just been set up but my luthier so it plays right. It has a nice low action and has the classic Gibson Charles Christian EM-150 sound. This model has a good bluegrass and country pedigree for stage and studio use. Comes with a newer hard case.
