1937 Gibson L00 Guitar
(Factory Order No. 123BC) Looking for a great playing vintage L00 with excellent tone and an affordable price? Here is it. Excellent condition. Factory order number has the letters BC as the suffix, which indicates a 1937 manufacture date. Its probably an early 1937 as it still has the unbound back. Well-played because it sounds great! Much finish and playing wear - this was not a case queen. All original finish and hardware. Has a mahogany back and sides and a x-braced spruce top with sunburst finish, firestripe guard that follows the body contour, original ebony 1 11/16 inch nut on the chunky v profile neck, small straight bridge, bound top only, and a silkscreened white script Gibson logo in the peghead. No creacks noted. The bridge is Brazilian rosewood but it looks like a accurate reproduction. A few braces were reglued, the frets were dressed, the neck was reset and the guitar was set up by by luthier Richie Dotson here in town. Nice tall saddle to give good tone with nice low playable action. The tuners are the original Kluson tuners with white buttons. They work very well. Frets are good and the neck is straight. Replaced end pin. Big sound. Perfect for ragtime and fingerstyle playing. The guitar is solid and in excellent playing condition with a great vintage tone - all it needs is your fingers on the strings! Comes with a newer hardshell case.
