1939 Martin D-18 Guitar
(Serial Number 72829) Excellent condition. This is the classic Gibson dreadnaught with mahogany back and sides, Adirondack red spruce top, rosewood fretboard and bridge, and an 1 11/16 nut. No cracks noted. The entire guitar was lightly oversprayed at some time in the past. I have owned this guitar 30 years so it was before that. The top has aged nicely and collected a few light scratches, minor pickwear and moderate checking. No capo marks on the neck and just the slightest sign of divots in the fretboard. Action is fine, the neck has been reset so the set is good, the saddle is tall and the frets are in excellent condition. The tone is warm, woody, and open. Here is a short video clip of this guitar played by Nathan Beaumont of the Duck Wallow Lane band here in Brandon. Comes with a nice newer Martin hard shell case.
