1942 Gibson LG3 Guitar
(Serial No. none) Excellent restored condition. I've never seen an LG3 with a script logo, but it makes sense, as the LG3 was first released in 1942. Well played and structurally sound small body Gibson with more volume and tone than you would expect for the size. It has the typical finish checking and shows some playing wear, as I'm sure this was the go-to guitar for the previous owner. I took this down to a 15 person old time jam here in town and you could still hear this guitar. Everything is original. Natural top finish, multiple ply top binding, X braced Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Brazilian rosewood fretboard with pearl inlays and a Brazilian rosewood bridge. White script Gibson logo on the peghead. The Kluson tuners are original and work well. The frets are in good shape and the neck is straight. Nice tall saddle, about 1/8 inch. Action is good, frets are find, neck is straight. A center seam was reglued and splinted, as was the typical pickguard crack. This is top notch luthierie work. Comes with a newer hardshell case.
