1946 Martin 0-17 Guitar
(Serial No. 95578) Very good plus condition with one noticeable repair. All mahogany body including the top gives these guitars a warm rich sound perfect for blues and fingerstyle. Has the original 1 11/16 inch ebony nut. Peghead overlay, bridge and fingerboard are Brazilian rosewood with a gold Martin decal logo on the peghead. Nice easy action as it just set up. Shows player wear with the usual nicks, dings and pickwear. There are some capo marks on the back of the neck and a few grooves in the fingerboard from playing but the neck is straight and the frets were just dressed and crowned. There is one repaired side crack on the bass side. Its stable but not the best color match on the finish work. Tuners are exact replacement reissue Klusons. All this sounds bad but it plays easy and sounds great. Its a dynamite little guitar that is perfect for sitting on the couch and playing some blues. And, its priced right for 64 year old vintage Martin. Comes with an old softshell case.
