1951 Epiphone Zenith Archtop Guitar
(Serial No. 63473) Looking for a cool archtop to play without breaking the bank? This one will do the job at a reasonable price. Very good plus condition, sunburst finish. 16 3/8 inch body with a carved solid spruce top, carved maple back, sides and neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with dot pearl inlay, bound top and back, pearl logo and crown peghead inlay. All hardware and finish is original except I think the face of the peghead was refinished. Why it was done I have no idea, as there are no cracks or repairs on the guitar. Excellent action and playability, with a sweet, wide open voice. Has the expected finish checking and the usual nicks and dings of a well played guitar. Shows a little strap burn from a vinyl strap on the back. Missing the pickguard. Comes with the original hardshell case.
