1952 Gibson EM-150 Mandolin

(Serial No. z1716) Near mint condition with a sunburst finish. These were used by Tiny Moore and Johnny Gimble on their classic recordings. This is a nice A style with F-shaped sound holes with a carved spruce top, maple back and sides, and the original hot P-90 pickup mounted in the top and a jack in the lower side. Fretboard is flush with the top. Classic "Gibson" decal logo above the truss rod cover on the peghead. Top bound only. All hardware and finish is original. Has some tarnish on the tailpiece cover, otherwise looks almost new. Mandolin has just been set up but my luthier so it plays right. It has a nice low action and has the classic Gibson post war EM-150 sound. This model has a good bluegrass and country pedigree for stage and studio use. Comes with the original hard case and one of the hang tags.
