1955 Gibson Southern Jumbo Guitar
(Serial No. W21605) Excellent plus condition, local Richmond guitar. Nice clean guitar showing no repairs and only very playing wear. Everything looks to be completely original. Great sounding guitar that really nails the slope shoulder Gibson midrangy dreadnaught sound. Sunburst finish, Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Brazilian bound rosewood fretboard with double parallelogram inlays and Brazilian bridge, seven layers of binding. The Kluson tuners are original with new reproduction aged buttons. The frets are in excellent shape and the neck is straight. Has a nice big open woody sound with strong volume. Strap button added in the middle of the heel. Comes with the original cardboard alligator print case in fair condition or a newer hardshell case.
