1955 Martin 000-18 Guitar
((Serial No. 141513) Excellent plus condition. Nicely aged spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Martin is supposed to have used Andirondack spruce for the tops until the early 50's, but no one can really tell by looking at it. To be sure, you have put it under a microscope in a lab. This is a beautiful piece of crossgrained spruce. Weighs almost nothing - this guitar is light as a feather. The open back Kluson tuners are original. Rosewood peghead overlay with gold Martin script. Has a Martin C shaped neck profile with a standard 1 11/16 nut width. The action is low and comfortable with plenty of saddle left. No repairs noted. The frets are in good shape and the neck is straight. Shows some finish checking and some minor scratches, nicks and dings and honest pickwear from 60+ years of playing. Has a nice big open woody sound with strong volume. Comes with a newer molded Martin hardshell case.
