1956 Martin Style A Mandolin

(Serial Number #A22279) Excellent plus condition showing only the slightest signs that it has indeed been played. Original lacquer finish with a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard with small dot markers, rosewood bridge, tortoise binding and pickguard, original ebony nut. Good neck and frets, plays nice with a low action but still has plenty of volume. Original tuners and tailpiece. Strap button replaces bottom screw on the tailpiece. Shows some finish checking on the top and some of the usual nicks and dings of a well loved instrument but no repairs noted. Great for old-time, Celtic, or jazz. Comes with the original hardshell case.
