1957 Gibson LG3 Guitar
(Serial No. U1826 23) Excellent condition with a few minor repairs. Not mint but just about as clean a guitar as you will find thats actually been played. Everything looks to be completely original. Great sounding guitar that has more volume that you would expect for the size. Natural finish, X braced Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Brazilian bound rosewood fretboard with pearl inlays and Brazilian bridge, 5 layers of top binding and single bound back. Has the standard 1950s Gibson nut width of 1 11/16 inch. The Kluson tuners are original. The frets are in good shape and the neck is straight. Has a minor center seam hairline separation reglued, the bridge reglued and the frets were dressed. All work was done by luthier David Sheppard in Charleston. It does have the typical checking and a few nicks, dings and scratches showing honest playing wear. Comes with the original brown alligator print soft case.
