1957 Martin 00-18 Guitar
(Serial No. 155937) Excellent condition. Mahogany back and sides with a Sitka spruce top and tortoise binding. Peghead overlay, fingerboard and bridge are Brazilian rosewood with gold Martin script logo. Original finish and tuners. Has a recent neck set and an exact repro replacement bridge by luthier Jack Dillen. 00 size Martins are about the size of a classical guitar and typically have a very well balanced sound. This one fits the bill there as well as having a big open woody sound and strong volume. It would be a fabulous recording guitar. Shows some playing wear at the back edge and on the top and has the usual nicks and dings expected in a well played guitar. Looks like it had a larger pickguard on one time and now has a replaced black Martin teardrop guard. No cracks or repairs. Neck is straight, frets are good, action is perfect. Comes with a newer hardshell case.
