1959 Gibson LG2 Guitar

(Serial No. s760925) Excellent restored condition. Well played and structurally sound small body Gibson with more volume and tone than you would expect for the size. It has the typical finish checking and shows some playing wear, as I'm sure this was the go-to guitar for the previous owner. I took this down to a 15 person old time jam here in town and you could still hear this guitar. Everything is original except for the bridge. Sunburst finish, X braced Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Brazilian rosewood fretboard with pearl inlays and a Brazilian rosewood bridge. Has the standard 1950s Gibson nut width of 1 11/16 inch. The Kluson tuners are original and work well. The frets are in good shape and the neck is straight. Nice tall saddle, about 1/8 inch. Has a nice low action as the bridge was replaced and the guitar was set up by luthier Jerry Ray here in Richmond. Comes with a newer hardshell case or the original cardboard alligator print - your choice.
