1961 Martin D28 Guitar
(Serial No. 179644) Excellent condition. This is an outstanding bluegrass guitar with all the punch you expect in a older Martin. Nicely aged spruce top and highly figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides. This guitar was gone though recently by luthier Dave Sheppard who reset the neck and dressed the frets. No cracks or crack repairs - not even a guard crack. Has the standard 1 11/16 inch nut and an ebony fingerboard and bridge. Rosewood peghead overlay with gold Martin script. Plays easy with low action, and has a nice big open woody sound with strong volume. Has a spot of buckle rash on the back and the expected finish checking, pickwear, and the usual nicks and dings of a well loved and much played guitar. Finish and hardware are original. Comes with the original hardshell case.
