1962 Epiphone FT-110 Frontier Guitar

(Serial No. 94484) Heres one you do not see everyday! This guitar was made by Gibson, as it is after the purchase of Epiphone. The Frontier was near the top of the line for Epiphone and has all the good stuff - sunburst finish, high grade Sitka spruce top, beautiful quilted maple back and sides, 7 ply binding on the top edge, fully bound back, fretboard and peghead, slotted squared on the fretboard, Peral logo and peghead inlay, and that wonderful lariat and cactus pickguard. Has the original gold plated single line single ring Kluson tuners, which are replaced on most Epiphones as these are the tuners for Les Paul sunbursts. Has the square shoulder body shape and the tall thin internal bracing like the same year Gibson Hummingbirds. Has a 25 1/2 inch scale and a rosewood fretboard with the traditional 1 11/16 inch bone nut, and an roswood adjustable bridge with the original ceramic saddle. Very clean guitar with the only evidence of playing being a few minor scuffs and a well-repaired and hard to see jack hole repair in the side. Comes with a period Gibson hard shell case with a repaired handle.
