1969 Martin D28 Guitar
(Serial No. 246322) Excellent condition. Nice old style straight grain Brazilian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, ebony fretboard and bridge, and a standard 1-11/16 inch nut. Neck is straight, frets are good, neck set is good. Original Grover Rotomatic tuners are correct for the guitar. Shows some finish checking especially on the top and some minor nicks and dings but overall a clean guitar. No cracks or major structural repairs. Strap button added at the heel. The bridge pins and strap button look like fossil ivory to me. I suspect the neck has been reset sometime in the past as it plays very easily with a nice low action. Probably a few new frets as well but if so its a very good job - very hard to tell if this was done. Big bluegrass Martin boom in the sound. Comes with a newer hardshell case.
