1974 Gretsch White Falcon Guitar
(Serial No. 104092) Excellent condition. The guitar is all original finish, hardware and electronics. This guitar was conceived as the absolute top of the line; the Cadillac of archtops. With a large 17-inch body and 25 1/2-inch scale length, this Gretsch came with all the highest end cosmetic appointments including gold sparkle binding and a generous helping of gold-plated hardware and detailing. Has two split "Blacktop" FilterTron pickups with gold plated mounting rings, individual Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney-shaped metal buttons, a gold Bigsby B12 Vibrato tailpiece, Gretsch "arrow thru G" knobs with ribbed sides, and a gold lucite pickguard with a falcon engraved from underneath in black. Has a tuneamatic bridge and a circular white padded cushion with black and gold trim secured to back of guitar. The finish has aged to a beautiful cream color. There is some wear to the gold plating, especially the tuning knobs, but the hardware is all original and in remarkable condition. has the earlier Burns neck adjustment system There is some monor finish checking at the neck joint but no repairs noted. The label indicates it is a mono model but it was factory wired in stereo. Comes with a stereo to mono cable so you can use it in a single amp, and a splitter cable which allows you to send the bass side of the pickups to one amp and the treble side to another. Comes with the original black hardshell case with a lime green interior.
