1987 Andersen F5 Mandolin
(Serial No. 100) Excellent plus condition, blonde finish. You dont see many builder making blonde mandolins, as they have to be *perfect*. There is no sunburst finish to hide binding errors or grain lines. This is the classic scroll mandolin - long neck, f-holes, elevated fretboard, incredible one piece quilted maple back and matching sides, solid Englemann European spruce top, bound ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge and a fern pearl peghead logo. It has the original gold plated Schaller tuners with pearl buttons. Looks almost new - there are no issues of any kind, no cracks, breaks or bad dings. The mandolin has just been set up by my luthier Richie Dotson. Action is great - easy and low. This mandolin sounds great with a strong chop and bark. Here is a short video clip of this instrument played by Richie. Comes in the original shaped hardshell case.
