(Serial No. 9209691) Near mint condition, sunburst finish. Bought from the original owner. Top of the line mandolin for Flatiron. When Gibson went to the NAMM show in 1987, these were the high quality mandolins they were competing with. They couldn't beat them, so they bought the company. Excellent sounding and playing F5 scroll mandolin with flamed maple back, sides and neck, carved spruce top with X bracing, Fern peghead inlay and logo in pearl, bound peghead and bound elevated ebony fingerboard, and gold hardware. Great playing mandolin that shows almost no signs of playing wear. This one has the sound - powerful chop and bark, strong tone - excellent bluegrass mandolin. Signed by Bruce Weber. Bozeman built Flatirons are always heavily in demand, because most pickers won't part with theirs - once you play this one you'll know why. Comes with the original hardshell case with the original warrany card inside the case pocket.
