(Serial No. 1892) Very nice and clean example of Randys's work. This mandolin has a red spruce top, probably lacquer finish, flamed maple back, sides and top, 1 1/8 inch nut on the radiused ebony fretboard, ebony Randy Wood bridge, pearl logo and peghead inlay. Its fitted with Randy's one piece tailpiece and new Waverly tuners with pearl buttons. It was drilled for a pickguard but the guard is missing. Just set up by luthier Richie Dotson so it plays like butter. Here is a link to a video of this mandolin as played by Richie. Excellent strong sounding mandolin with good volume, responsiveness, and a sweet tone that will get loud and chop when needed. Comes with the original hardshell case.
