Taylor first came to national attention with the quality and sound of their 12 string guitars. There are only a couple of companies making decent 12 strings, and Taylor is one of them. This is an 855, the top of the line for Taylor. Big 18 inch lower bout, dark chocolate Indian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, ebony fretboard with opposed arrowhead position markers in pearl, pearl logo in the peghead, pearl soundhole rosette, and gold hardware. Multi-ply top binding, single ply binding on the back, fretboard and peghead. Strap button added at the heel. Neck is straight, the frets are good, and the neck set is correct. Nice low action and, as you would expect, a great big huge voice. Comes with the original Taylor case with the crushed velvet interior, also very clean.
