2005 Weber Fern Mandolin
(Serial No. 5226602) Excellent plus condition, lacquer sunburst finish. This mandolin looks nearly unplayed. At the time it was built, The Fern model was the top of the line in F style mandolins for Weber. Bruce built a bunch of good mandolins for Gibson, and he continued to built excellent mandolins after he set up his own shop. This mandolins was built in Bozeman, MT before Weber moved to Oregon. High grade Weber featuring an Sitka spruce top, figured maple back/sides/neck, and ebony fretboard and bridge. Fully bound, radiused fretboard with dot inlays, 1-1/8 inch nut width, parallel tone bars, gold Schaller tuners with pearl buttons, one piece cast Weber tailpiece, adjustable bridge, and a pearl logo with abalone Fern inlay on the peghead. Very strong sound with good chop and cut. Just set up by my luthier. Frets are good, neck is straight, neck set is fine. Comes with the original Weber rectangular hard shell case.
