2015 Chris Bozung Custom Dreadnaught Guitar
(Serial No. 0615_305) Mint condition, lacquer finish. All original finish and hardware. Chris Bozung is a very well known and respected luthier in Nashville. He has worked on and restored hundreds of vintage instruments, including my 1946 D28, so he knows guitars and craftsmanship. When he puts his attention to building he turns out a superior guitar. This guitar is Chris' take on the classic Martin dreadnaught. Its a wonderful guitar in the traditional style, with a clear, articulate voice that's full and powerful. It was custom built with a deer theme - note the deer tracks as fret markers, the CB logo and a a deer skull, both in pearl, on the peghead, and "Big Bruiser" inlaid at the 14th fret. The back and sides are highly figured zircote wood. It has a tap tuned premium Adirondack (red) spruce top with hand-scalloped high X bracing, traditional grained ivoriod binding, mahogany neck, Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay with a pearl logo, oversize soundhole, tortoise pickguard, nickle Waverly tuners with metal butterbean button, unbound ebony fretboard with side dots only, and a hand made vintage style ebony bridge with 2 1/4 inch spacing. Nut is 1 3/4 inch on the 25.4 inch scale length. The soft V neck is extremely comfortable; the bass strings have enormous depth and clarity; this guitar eats lesser dreadnoughts and banjos for snacks. Even strummed chords are powerful, and flatpicked solos on the treble strings were fat and juicy. Here is a video clip of this guitar as played by by luthier Stefan L. Saunders Sr. of Richmond VA VA. No one at the jam will have one like this - it is a custom built one off. There is no pickwear - the guitar is mint. Comes with a nice hard case.
