Geib Aeroplane "Racing Stripe" Case
This is one of the finest, most beautiful, and well-built guitar cases ever made, a 1939 (estimated) Geib "Aeroplane" or "Racing Stripe" tweed case. These are legendary among collectors and players for their craftsmanship and style. This is a 17 inch lower bout case, suitable for a Gibson L-5, L-7, and ES-300 guitars. It is also an excellent fit for Gibson J-200 models and other 17 inch guitars. The condition of this case is excellent considering its age. All latches, hinges, and the metal feet are original hardware. The handle is a replacment. The interior has the original pink lining. The only significant wear to the lining is on the underside of the lid, where some of the pile is worn from the pickguard offgassing. The exterior tweed is in excellent shape, with very light scuffing and a few very small tears.
