1918 Gibson A Mandolin

(Serial number 40679 FON 11027) Excellent minus condition showing some playing wear. Natural finish that has aged to pumpkin color, with dark back and sides. No logo in the peghead as built, top bound only, unbound fingerboard, original Gibson label inside. All finish and hardware is original but has a replaced bridge and is missing the pickguard. The tailpiece cover is original but has been polished so much the nickle plating has been removed. Shows some typical playing wear but overall a nice solid mandolin. Plays easy with the great round hole tone. Excellent for Celtic, old time and jazz. Comes with a newer case.
