1918 Gibson A1 Mandolin

(Serial number 40517 FON 11099) Excellent condition, natural top finish. This is the classic teens Gibson oval hole mandolin, which is excellent for Celtic, folk, jazz, old time or just picking fiddle tunes. The mandolin has the original natural top finish which has aged to a pumpkin color, a dark reddish brown back and sides, ebony fretboard, original tuners, repro Loar era adjustable ebony bridge, and pearl logo in the peghead. Missing the pickguard. Neck is straight, frets are good and it was just set up so it plays very well.
