1965 Martin D28 Guitar
(Serial No. 204414) Excellent condition showing some picking and buckle wear. It makes sense; the D28 has been the bluegrass standard for nearly 100 years. Features nicely figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides, a Sitka top, and an ebony fretboard and bridge. Standard 1-11/16 nut width. Finish and double line Kluson tuners are original. Luthier Jack Dillen of Asheville, NC reset the neck, reglued the bridge, dressed the frets and set the guitar up. It now plays like silk with a nice low action and that huge Martin Brazilan rosewood sound you are looking for in a good bluegrass guitar. A couple of small back cracks were repaired by Jack. Very strong sound. This is definately a festival warrior that hunts down banjos and fiddles for breakfast. You get all the powerful sound of a older Martin Brazilian rosewood dreadnought. Comes with the original green lined Martin hardshell case with a replaced handle.
