1966 Martin D18 Guitar
(Serial No. 212678) Excellent condition with one repair. This is the classic Martin D18 - solid mahogany back and sides and a solid spruce top. Tuners are the original patent applied for Grover Rotomatics. Neck is straight, Has some finish checking on the top and back and and the usual playing wear of a guitar used to make music for almost 60 years. There is a small crack at the screw for the lower bass E tuner, but this appears to have been repaired some time ago. Has the tortoise binding and pickguard, Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge and the small maple bridge plate. This guitar is a vetern of the campfire wars - most of the finish has been played off the back of the neck. I believe the neck has been reset at some time in the past, as the action is perfect. This one has that solid Martin "boom" you need in a good bluegrass guitar. Plays very easy with a nice low action. This is an well played, excellent sounding D18. Comes with a newer hardshell case.
