1960s Grammer C20 Guitar(Serial No. 08/679) Excellent condition. Billy Grammer was a well known Nashville guitar picker who started a shop building guitars in 1965. The business was sold to Ampeg around 1968. As no serial number list exists, the date is a guess. This guitar was built after Ampeg took over, but it retains many of the characteristics of the original guitars. Completely original finish and hardware. The back, sides, and neck are flamed maple and the top is Sitka spruce. The bridge and fretboard are rosewood and inlaid with a strip of binding on either side going down the length of the board. The top has checkerboard binding. Grammer believed that a slim neck allowed for faster picking. The nut is 1 8/16th inches.
