1969 Grammer G20C Guitar

(Serial No. 7405) Excellent condition. Billy Grammer was a well known Nashville guitar picker who started a shop building guitars in 1965. The business was sold to Ampeg around 1968. As no serial number list exists, the date is a guess. This guitar was built after Ampeg took over, but it retains many of the characteristics of the original guitars. The guitar is all solid woods with a sunburst top finish. The finish and hardware are completely original. The back, sides and neck are maple and the top is Sitka spruce. Both the bridge and fretboard are rosewood with the usual dot position markers. The nut is the standard 1 11/16 inch. Click here for a video clip of this guitar as played by Nathan Beaumont of the Remedy Tree Band, Brandon FL. The video indicates that this is a 1970s guitar, which is not correct. Comes with a nice hardshell case.
