1993 Gibson F5L Mandolin
(Serial No. 3536049) This is one of the cleanest Bozeman built Gibson mandolins I have had for sale in a long time. It was obtained from a dealer in Japan. It looks nearly unplayed. Anything that looks like a blemish is probably a reflection - this mandolin is clean. Near mint condition, sunburst finish. This is the classic Gibson scroll mandolin - long neck, f-holes, elevated fingerboard, beautifully flamed maple back and sides, solid spruce top, bound ebony fingerboard, gold hardware, and the Fern peghead inlay in pearl. Missing the pickguard. Signed by luthier Steve Carlson on April 9, 1993. The mandolin has just been set up by my luthier. Action is great - easy and low. This mandolin sounds great with a strong chop and bark, even though it is still needs to be broken in. For a short video clip of this mandolin CLICK HERE. Comes in the original rectangular hardshell case, also very clean. Comes in the original rectangular hardshell case, also very clean.
