(Serial Number:150) Excellent condition. John has been building mandolins in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for years. As he is right in the heart of bluegrass country he knows the sound of a good mandolin. Solid brown top finish and a sunburst back and sides. This one has nicely flamed maple back, sides and neck, Sitka top, fully bound body, neck and peghead, 1-1/8 inch nut, flat ebony fingerboard and bridge, a gold Monteleone style one-piece tailpiece, and gold tuners. The fretboard is deliberately shortened to elinate pick click. The mandolin shows a little playing and handling wear, but no cracks, repairs or refinish. Excellent sound - has a nice chop and good woody deep tone. Comes with a hardshell case.
