2001 Gibson F5 Fern Mandolin
(Serial No. 11213030) Excellent plus condition. Sunburst laccquer finish. This is the classic Gibson scroll mandolin - long neck, f-holes, elevated fingerboard, heavily flamed maple sides and one piece back, solid Sitka spruce top, bound ebony fingerboard, gold plated hardware, and the Fern peghead inlay. This mandolin was made in Nashville, and was signed by luthier Danny Roberts. Shows almost no playing wear or finish checking. The frets were dressed and the mandolin has just been set up by my luthier. Action is great - easy and low. This mandolin sounds great with a strong chop and bark. Here is a video clip of this mandolin as played by Nathan Beaumont.Comes with the original TKL rectangular hardshell case. This is a really good mandolin.
