2003 Lime Creek Two Point Mandolin

(Serial No. S006M) Mint condition. This mandolin was made by Daniel Myers in Oregon, who is now a successful architect. Building things just comes natural to him. I think he was influenced by the Kay mandolins in the 1960s. This mandolin looks very lightly played. It has a Sitka spuce top, outstanding flamed maple back and sides, and an ebony fretboard and bridge. The unique aluminum tailpiece was hand made by the builder. Good chop and bark, but it still sounds like it needs to be played in a little more. Click here for a video clip of this mandolin as played by Nathan Beaumont of Brandon FL. Action is nice and low with plenty of saddle left. Comes with a good hardshell case.
