2006 Petros Applegate FS Guitar
(Serial No.32239) Mint condition. Petros Guitars are built by Bruce Petros and his son Matt in Wisconsin. Bruce has been building since 1972 and he has figured out how to build great guitars. Bruce chose the tulip headstock motif to honor the small Wisconsin town near his shop, called Holland Town by the locals. He builds from the finest tonewoods - this guitar has an Adirondack red spruce top bordered with abalone, an abalone rosette, cocobolo back and sides, ebony fretboard and custom made bridge with a compensated saddle, 1.75 inch nut, 2.25 inch bridge spacing, gold Gotah tuners with custom buttons, and a 14.5 inch lower bout/11 inch upper bout. Petros is known for their exceptionally high quality craftsmanship. The new FS bracing system frees the top to move as never before, evoking better projection and improved volume. The sound is warm, full bodied, and complex, with beautiful harmonics, clear trebles, a solid bass, with all notes even up and down the fretboard. The neck and fretboard are equally confortable for finger style, flatpicking or strumming. The guitar is set up perfectly. Comes with a Calton case fitted to this guitar.
