This mandolin has a big, rich voice with great projection and a powerful chop - everything you'd expect from a Collings. Nice clean mandolin with an Englemann spruce top and heavily flamed Eastern maple back and sides. The mandolin is fitted with satin nickle tuners (Rubner?) with black buttons. Top bound only in tortoise. Has a 1 1/8 inch nut and jumbo frets on the radiused ebony fretboard, which is slightly shortened by Collings to eliminate pick click. Has a soft V profile neck. Fitted with the Collings one piece tailpiece. No repairs, refinish, or other issues noted. Comes with the original Collings hardshell case.
