2017 Amesqua F5 Mandolin
(Serial No. 9) Mint condition, black ice lacquer finish, built in Tallahassee, Florida. Debra Amesqua was a fire chief up north, and she retired to Florida and started building mandolins. Building is a passion with her, and it shows. This is an excellent, well built mandolin thats sounds as good as it looks. Finished in a black satin laccquer. Has a highly flamed maple back, sides and neck, an Adirondack spruce top, Stew Mac Golden Age Restoration tuners, a James tailpiece, and a striking custom pickguard. Plays nice with good low action with excellent sound. Has a big, rich voice, great projection and a powerful chop - everything you'd expect from a custom built instrument. Top bound only in white. Has a 1 1/8 inch nut and jumbo frets on the radiused ebony fretboard, which is shortened and scooped to eliminate pick click. Has a soft V profile neck. Its in as-new condition - no repairs, refinish, or other issues noted. Click here for a video clip of this mandolin as played by Nathan Beaumont of the Remedy Tree Band, Brandon FL. Comes with a nice hardshell case.
